Creative Crossbuck Fence Design for Driveway, Cohutta, GA - Wood Fencing

Top Rail Fence Chattanooga recently completed a unique and visually striking crossbuck-style farm fence for a residential driveway in Cohutta, GA. This project was completed for our customer John, who wanted a creative way to frame his property entrance while boosting curb appeal. Instead of a straight-line design, we built a custom zig-zag layout on both sides of the driveway, creating a dynamic, eye-catching pattern that not only draws attention from the road but also serves as a natural backdrop to John’s existing shrubs and landscaping. The result is a functional, rustic fence with real visual impact. Constructed with pressure-treated wood, the crossbuck design features overlapping diagonal rails in a classic “X” pattern between the posts—ideal for driveway entrances, pasture fronts, or rural residential lots. This project shows how traditional farm fencing can be reimagined for elegance and originality. It was a fun and fulfilling build for our team, and we’re proud of the craftsmanship and the statement it makes.
