This project at Band Box Pl in Dallas, TX involved the full replacement of an existing fence with a new 8 ft tall western red cedar board-on-board privacy fence. The homeowner was looking to upgrade their property with a stronger, longer-lasting fence while maintaining the same picket direction as the existing layout.
Our team completed the demolition and haul-off of the old fence before installing approximately 270 linear feet of new fencing. We used pre-stained western red cedar pickets and 2x4 rails in an Oxford Brown finish, delivering both durability and a consistent, high-end appearance. The structure was reinforced with .095 gauge 11' steel posts to ensure long-term stability.
The project also included two walk gates and replacement of wood on an existing slide gate, ensuring seamless function and a cohesive look across the entire property. A 2x6 pressure-treated kickboard was installed to protect the base of the fence from moisture, insects, and lawn equipment damage.
To elevate both performance and design, we added a double trim detail that helps prevent pickets from bowing while providing the clean look of a top cap and trim at a more cost-effective option.
The result is a durable, secure, and visually appealing fence that enhances both privacy and curb appeal for the property.
