Explained the process from start to finish. Crew were experienced and courteous. The crew finished the job in one day, even with rain showers! Had work around ready for an area that worried me and I couldn’t be more happy. Fence turned out beautiful. Would recommend to anyone.

Chad Stears is the owner. We had to replace a 67 yr. old shadow box Redwood fence with ~ 240 linear feet down the East lot line with two connector fences (w/ gates) from the main fence to the house, to enclose a family patio. The entire Top Rail fence Team was incredible! The replacement fence was also a shadow box design with rough sawed Red Cedar because Redwood is now a banned tree...very similar in terms of look and durability. This was a 100% hand-built fence; we discussed a few architecture changes that made sense and we went with them i.e. the old fence sections were butted 2x4s and we connected each section with 4x4 Redwood Cedar posts. They also recommended three rails to support this 6" high fence. The pickets were all cut down from 8' boards, and they adjusted the fence to look stunning with the small topographical drop along the East line. IT WAS ENGINEERED AND DELIVERED FLAWLESSLY! This quality centric company gets it, they are craftsmen, and their customer service modeling is old school. Without hesitation or reservation, I would recommend them for any fence! I found that the entire operation of Top Rail Fence is commendable. The sales and administration was very fair, knowledgeable, and provided a very good quote for my project. The on-site installation team for the project were also very professional in that they were efficient, and provided an excellent fence that I am very proud of. I could not expect any more from any other commercial or residential fencing trade. Top Rail Fence is now my "go to firm" for any future fencing needs, repairs, or referrals. I only wish that more stars were available for their rating.

As soon as the pool was completed, they were quick to respond and got my fence installed right away—truly “Johnny on the spot.” The installation team was outstanding—friendly, courteous, and highly professional. They worked hard, kept me informed every step of the way, and were genuinely a pleasure to have around. It’s clear they take pride in their work. Their pricing was competitive and fair, and I especially appreciated the military discount they offered. That level of respect and consideration made a big difference, especially since other companies I contacted fell short in that area. Found these folks through a neighbor who recently worked with them. Top Rail now has two very satisfied clients on my street. Their crew of five made quick work of removing the old fence and did a great job building the new one. As with all construction there were a few things I found that I wanted them to address. They came back the next day and put everything right. Good people.
