We had an excellent experience with Top Rail from start to finish. The entire team was professional, communicative, and delivered high-quality work. Our project manager, Jacob, was outstanding—he kept us informed throughout the process, answered all of our questions, and made sure every detail was handled with care. The fence looks amazing, and the craftsmanship exceeded our expectations. The crew worked efficiently, cleaned up after themselves, and completed the project on time. We couldn't be happier with the results and would highly recommend this company to anyone looking for a beautiful, well-built wooden fence!

After receiving a couple of estimates on our fence project, Top Rail Fence offered us the best deal and quickest turn-around time. The sales process was flawless and efficient. Chad Gilliam (sales) was very professional, showed up on-time, offered good suggestions, made requested changes to the offer/quote, and kept communicating with us until the deal was signed. The project manager we worked with was awesome. Jacob Wagoner contacted us frequently before the work began, during the build, and post-project completion. When complications were encountered, he immediately took ownership/accountability and worked them to resolution. The quality of the work is very good. The build crew was on-time daily, friendly/respectful, cleaned up after themselves, and made on-the-spot minor modifications to meet our needs. There are a lot of builders/companies in the fence business. We are glad to have found and used Top Rail Fence.

UPDATE: I originally left a lower rating due to poor communication/minor mishaps, but I am updating my review because they took immediate steps to fix it. They reached out, listened to my feedback, and completely turned the experience around with fast repair/great communication. I appreciate a company that truly cares about customer satisfaction.

Top rail fence did an amazing job, they were faster this year. Quotes were accurate and the quote was only about $100 off from the actual based on material changes. I recommend using them for any area needs. Custom needs are also pretty awesome.

The Top Rail team finished my fence yesterday. It was a huge 3-day project in intense heat. They worked so very hard and the fence looks great. The initial quote was very competitive -- I chose them among 3 other companies who had provided quotes. The service felt personal. Everyone I spoke with, from scheduling and coordinating and installing, was very warm, friendly, and professional. I would 100 recommend them. I am exceedingly happy with my 6' vinyl privacy fence.

Drew, Ben, and their team at Top Rail were great from start to finish. Drew’s design had to accommodate the shape of a new patio, pool, and fire pit sitting wall. They also had to use extra long posts because of a water mitigation ditch. Drew and Ben had to constantly change their installation schedule because of delays by other contractors. And when the time finally came to install it, they did so within a week. The installation crew was professional and friendly. Most importantly, they made sure the sections were placed exactly the way we wanted them. It was not a simple rectangle! They also didn’t hesitate to make a couple of minor adjustments that we requested. All in all, it was a great experience. I highly recommend Top Rail.

Top Rail is the TOP fence company in Wilmington. Sales was very accommodating for special circumstances. Installation and workmanship was very good. Price was very good.

I’m so excited to write this review because we actually had new buyers in our neighborhood, Citadel Point in Sneads Ferry, stop and ask who did our fence because they noticed how it was installed in one day and really liked it. From the moment I called Top Rail, to the end of installation, the company exceeded my customer service standards. Terry Hoyle came to our home and gave us an estimate, he re-worked it for us as my ideas changed, and he updated the estimates quickly. He filled out our HOA paperwork and was very easy to communicate with. The project manager, Ben, was also very personable and kept me informed about our install date and made sure the build was done with all of our preferences in mind. We were beyond satisfied with the process and overall experience with this company, and their price was very competitive with the company in our neighborhood that has been used very often, but they are generally able to install the fence quicker than the other company without sacrificing workmanship. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone!

Ben and his team did a great job. They really cared about the quality of the job and making sure I was satisfied. When they were done they cleaned up the area and even washed down the vinyl fence! Very happy with the new fence.

Really enjoyed working with Ben at Top Rail. Took a while for my HOA to approve my fence, but Ben was so patient, calling me to ask if there was anything he could do.. then came the install geez I hadn’t seen a crew work so well and work so efficiently before.
